Hello,

I have an a problem with my 2001 Sebring. I will be driving along and it just dies-no stutter or nothing-the lights and radio keep working, the engine just dies without warning and no strange noises. It is like the engine just turns itself off. This has happened four times, I have it towed to the dealer who of course is too busy to look at it right now or it happens while they are closed. The car sits overnight and it starts again. The dealer can find nothing wrong with it-when it is running it runs like new. No engine warning light comes on. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be causing this. I can hear the fule pump when I am trying to start it so it seems to be working.

thanks -we have checked that and it still does it-everyone seems to be at a loss-money is tight so I don't want to put money into things that don't need to be fixed-anyone have any suggestions-possible crankshaft positon or crank sensor? I honeslty do not know much about cars-only what I read.

Hey All,

I just wanted to keep you updated and the car will be fixed today-I gave it to the dealer and told them to drive it until it stalls for them (4 days ago) and it did it today-yeah!!! Turns out is was the crank sensor so if anyone has a similar problem with the car engine just stalling out no noises etc, just like it lost all power, but all the lights and raido sitll work it could be your crank sensor. Hope this informations might save someone else 2 months of aggrivation!
