Some asshole slashed one of my tires at school, and i don't have a jack. What size do I need to buy? Will a 2 1/4 ton jack be good enuff for lifting my Caprice?

Depending on model year, your Caprice will weigh between 3900 and 4300 lbs (1.9 to 2.2 tons) unless it is older than 1977. So, a jack rated for 2 1/4 ton (4500 lbs) should work for your application.

Are you going to lift the entire car in one shot? Usually, one axle at a time is sufficient. That requires a lot less jack capacity, and a lot less of that tricky balancing act.

I've learned that a decent, 100-lb thrust rocket placed at each corner of the car and aimed down and ignited helps to overcome the tricky balancing issue. I just thought I'd pass that along.
