It looks like driver side power window glass is off the track. As it is only coming up half way and getting stuck in the rubber housing near the side view mirror.

What is the easy way to remove the inner cover of the door and re-align this glass. How many plastic clips are holding this inner door liner. Did someone else had access the glass to place it back on the track. This is the very first time we ran into this problem. I am not even sure how this could had happen. All the plastic cosmatics are in really good shape.

Also. does Haynes manual explains in detail steps (I can buy one) or any other better manual out there that explains that how we reach to the glass and window track.

Welcome to the forums!

Before you go removing a bunch of door panels, give this a try.

Get yourself a can of spray silicon lubricant (the kind with the little tube attachment) and SOAK the front and back window guides.

Open the window all the way, attach the little tube, and spray the entire length of each guide three or four times at a moderate pace. Not so much that the stuff drips all over the place, but enough to soak the material that the window slides against.

Now try putting the window up. I had a similar issue on my Chevy Venture and the procedure fixed it right up. If you want to see the door panel off, that a look here (http://www.my-chevy-venture.com/venture-repair-drivers-side-power-window.html).

Yes, It is "rocking forward". Now is there a special brand silicon lubricant that I can get from Carquest or Napa. Does, WD40 will work with a plastic nozel.

I don't know where I got it, but I have the can of "CRC Heavy Duty Silicone Multi-Use Lubricant" sitting on my work bench (it has a red & white label). You can probably get it as almost any parts store or possibly a hardware store.

I didn't want to use WD40 because it is more of a "penetrating" lubricant, and smells too much. :icon16:

I have used mygmlink. It has some useful information, like the owner's manual for your car in PDF format and reminders for when to get service done and notices of any recalls.

But remember that it is run by GM, so it is mostly sales information. No forum that I have found. A forum (like this one) seems to be the best source of repair information. "Real" information from "real" people - that seems to be the way to go.

I had the power window adjusted. It was the coil spring (from the inner center of the door) that came off and caught at the inside bottom of the rain jacket and front of the glass was off of the track. There was some rattling when I was closing the door. Once the coiled spring was back on its place and front track was adjusted and automotive lubricant was applied. It is now started working. The only question that I have is, if there is a retainer to keep the coil spring falling out inside the rain jacket.
