Took a little road trip

So anyways I am not in Ontario anymore...Like you Americans know where that is

I decided to drive my car out to school from Toronto, Ontario to Halifax, Nova Scotia.... It was a 16 hour drive for 1113 miles done in 1 day. I took the RSX Type S, and my buddy drove his Mercedes C280 and another friend split the driving duties whenever we were tired...

I really got to push my car on some stretches. I had her up to 210km/h, and we were constantly doing between 140-160. We almost got nabbed by the cops only once, but that was a close call. I also learned the true meaning of torque, as all passing lane opened on uphills (NO SENSE) and I constantly had to downshift from 6th to 4th to pass anybody. I still got great fuel economy and the car had no problems making the trip...

Since I've been here 2 problems have come up

1) My roomate bought a car, and now is being a dick about our 1 parking space, so I have to park at a friends...Basically he won't move his car from the spot because I might steal it, so he doesn't drive his car

2) somebody keyed my car 3 nights ago....Right along the entire driver side door...I was so pissed when I saw it. Some asshole who doesn't like Ontario plates and was drunk did it im sure. We got 1 layer of primer and touch up paint on, but it's been raining for 2 days so we can't finish

This car at school thing is starting to look like a bad idea...

Damn, that sucks about your car getting keyed. Maybe get those ontario pltes off ASAP? Good luck w/ school. man.

Your roommate should be paying more rent than you do if he's going to be a dick and monopolize the parking space...or make him buy the groceries.

Maybe a car cover would help protect your car from drunk Nova Scotians.

Yes, I know where Ontario is.

It's in Florida, isn't it?:icon16:

I know where Ontario is, and my grandpa lived in Nova Scotia till he was 16, when he moved to Boston. Small world, eh?

Anyways, that sucks about the car, but having it up at school is worth it. My first three semesters, I didn't have my car up here, and it sucked having to bum a ride anywhere, and having to work around everyone elses schedule to get my shit done. The thing is, chances are that shit would happen to your car regardless of where you are. Hell, the massive fucking chip on my door happened when I was parked on the ass end of an empty parking lot in IL, i.e. someone meant to do it. I would suggest getting a car cover for sure if Nova Scotians are bitchy.

What a dork, that is the stupidest thing I've heard for a long time now. That is like not wearing a new pair of shoes for fear that they might get dirty.

As for the woes of owning a car and going to school, Neutrino could tell you all about that.
