a/c quits on 92 regal

Hi,
Hoping someone can help with a/c problems on 92 regal. a/c works fine and then quits. Unhook battery and hook back up and works fine again for a while then quits. It works for several days and then quits but always works fine when you unhook and rehook up the battery. Have checked out wires and compressor, fuses. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ya it flummoxed me too, but mine needed a full charge.Hard to believe when it actually blows cold, but it's a fact I experienced it. Just wasn't enough pressure to sustain it.
2 cans did it for me.O ya and I did a switch from freon 12 to new fangled stuff ,and all is still running 5 months later.Mines a '91 with 250 Km.
