well i see people on here talk about them all the time,saying it is under the seat.well i looked under mine is there is nothing exept a plug with no home.so my question is did all the eclipses come with them cuz i dont have one and if someone has an extra one laying around let me know cuz if i once had one and its gone for some reason i would like to put it back in and see how my radio sounds.thanks guys ~joe

i think is only the gst and gsx, my gst has one, my rs didnt.

They came with the Infinity package.
No you can't just hook one up, you need the Infinity head unit for it to work. And no, aftermarket head units don't work with it either. I've tried.

Also isnt the amp under the passanger seat??? the empty wire under the drivers seat is for power seats... right?

Unless it says Infinity on the front of the head unit, you have the generic shit. I think the Infinity unit was one piece, whereas your is probably 2 like mine was. All cars were wired for them though.

i am pretty sure i got mine to work with my pioneer, and not all gst/gsx's came with them my buddy has a gst and he doesn't have and amp....it only came with the premium sound package

How did you get it to work and how do you know it's actually getting used? Simply plugging it in does not work...

i can tell it is being used for my front/tweaters, because the output to them is way higher then the back ones on equel level....that and when i was getting some shit installed for me (a very trusted, good electronics installer) told me that is was getting power and it was being used. I didn't install it, but i'm pretty sure its on and being used

my gst came with aftermarket head unit, and i believe it was hooked up to the amp, because i everytime i'd turn it up i could feel the bass in the front speakers.

yeah, you can use the stock amp, IIRC its not that hard, you just have to wire it differently... correct me if i'm wrong, but i think its possible.
