To Lower Or Not To Lower!

this is for all auto vehicles.......would u lower your vehicle?........what is the problems that comes with lowering your vehicle?...........my brohem dropped it to about 2 inches....with his old car....back in the old days......but he told me......i shouldn't b/c there are many problems that affects your car when you lower it.........WELL IT DOES LOOK BETTER.......but he says some of the problems are: 1.) tires get messed up quicker 2.)your car goes crazy over speed bumps............hmmmmmm u guys can help me.......!.....thanks......and also.......should i get a MUFFLER........or should i get a KIT........well that also depends on if i lower it or not.......PLEASE HELP!.........

There are many problems when you lower w/o, an idea of why you want to lower. Are you lowering for looks or for race? Drag? Auto-X?
If you are concerned about looks, well then the Eibcah prokit is an excellant choice along with sport shocks, Bilstein, Tockico, Koni.
Would be great with little sacrifice in ride. yes it would be stiffer, not horrible. It really depends after you drop it, you'll need an allignment, if they can't get your ride within factory specs then, you will need a camber kit (K-Mac, Ingalls) But the prokit is only 1.3" drop which is subtle. I always reccomend, a shock and spring combo together, it is the right way!!!

Any stiffer spring, dropping more than 2" should be equiped with at least single adjustable Shocks, (KYB AGX, Koni Yellows,Tockico Illuminas) Or Bilstein Sport which are self adjusting, and IMO give you a great ride and great handling.

Shocks and tires make th biggest differnce in handling. so if you are a performance guy keep that in mind.

another thing I noticed when riding in a lowered car is that you better pull up shot on parking stalls, the curb, wheel stop, or cement bar will scrape the underside of your front skirt if you pull up too far. other than what's mentioned above, I think that's it.

You can avoid that by going at it from an angle. For example you wanna drive over a bump, just slow down and go at it from an angle, instead of straight-on. But it's annoying to keep having to do that though.

THERE ARE BUMPS THAT NO MATTER WHAT I DO I WILL SCRAPE. MY CAR ISNT EVEN THAT LOW!!!
AH WELL. I THINK WHAT HE WAS TALKIN ABOUT WAS PULLIN UP IN A PARKING SPOT. YOU CANT PULL TOO CLOSE, OR YOU WILL SET YOUR BUMPER ON THE CURB. OH, YEAH. IVE DONE THAT.HA.

If I drop my 94 Hatchie with a Tokico kit should I get the blues or the illuminas? The drop is the same on both kits. Do I need the adjustability, would it be worth buying, would it be something good to have.........?:angryfire

if you auto x, or are anal bout ride, go adj, you can fine tune em, but either way, both kits have struts matched to the springs...
but adj means you tailor the ride
