Gas mileage

We took the family to Myrtle beach and I thought I would share my gas mileage. Normally my wife gets about 600KM per tank on our extended length 99. During the trip we got the following on 4 tanks of fuel:

~1000 KM (630 M) driving about 70 MPH with cruise through the Pennsylvania/Maryland mountains.

~800 KM about 70 MPH with cruise from Washington to Myrtle beach and some city driving.

~800KM city driving and about 70 MPH with cruise to Washington

~900 KM through the hills to home at about 70 KM with cruise.

I was impressed at how well the van performed. I threw in a can of Seafoam into the tank halfway through the third tank.


I think that is about 22 MPH on average. (assuming a 25 g tank)

My best is 600 km (372mi) and an average of 540 km (335mi) 20% city/ 80% HW ...

My ext 99 gets exactly 20 mpg locally and then on a trip it gets 26 mpg.

I actually may have gotten better mileage as I think I overestimated the size of the tank.
