Towing Capacity

Can someone please tell me the max towing capacity of my astro. I have a 2000 with a class 3 hitch on it. I misplaced my owners manual and have been going crazy looking for it. I want to tow a pop up trailer to a capm site 2 hours away from my house. Thanks.:frown:

I also have a 2000 Astro. It is AWD with the towing package and 3.73 gearing. The capacity is 9,500 pounds total for trailer and cargo load. However, tongue weight is restricted to 350 polunds if I'm reading the chart correctly. Unless your pop-up camper is made of depleted uranium or is poured full of concrete, I'm thinking your van should be able to handle it easily.

EDIT: Further research reveals that the maximum tongue weight of the factory-installed box receiver hitch is 350 pounds, and the trailer maximum gross weight is 6,000 pounds. That is for model year 2000 only, but others may be similar.

Just thought I'd clarify.
