Hey,
This wil be my next project:
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/doos_001%7E0.jpg
It's a Audi 90 Qauttro 20v from Fujimi.
A typical Fujimi kit with just a few parts.
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/doos_002%7E0.jpg
The body got a few moldinglines
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/doos_003%7E0.jpg
The idea is to make this one clean. German style tuning :)
I will clean the:
- doors
- frontbumper
- thrunk
- Audi logo on the back
If i can find some other mirrors wich are better than these I will use them.
For the wheels I choose de Wald Duchatelet:
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/doos_004%7E0.jpg
I don't know why but the wheels are yellow :P VERY YELLOW :sunglasse So I have to paint them of course :)
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/doos_005%7E0.jpg
It's hard to say how the wheels will look on the car but here's a example:
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/doos_006%7E0.jpg
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/doos_007%7E0.jpg
Yesterday I cleaned the whole body so today it was sanding time :banghead:
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/clean_001.jpg
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/clean_002.jpg
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/clean_003.jpg
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/clean_004.jpg
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/clean_005.jpg
Just another puttywork and than I can prime the body to see if it needs more work.
I don't know what colour I will use for the body and the interior. Maybe bordeaux red with a light brown interior? It got to be a bit luxery.
The wheels will be painted chrome and the heart flat black with golden screws.
Kris.

Hi,
I like the trunk...but don't forget to move the license plate to the bumper: you can't drive a car w/o license plates in Germany :nono:

Looks good!
Be sure to check the fit of the front wheels with the 'struts'. For some reason that comes to mind... I built one 15 years ago.

I primed the body to see if it's all smooth.
I needed a little bit putty again.

http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/primer_003.jpg
I also painted the wheels black. When it's dry I mask the heart of the wheels and paint the rims chrome.
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/primer_004.jpg
The chassis was painted gloss black and than a mist coate of Metallic Violet. I really love the result.

http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/primer_006.jpg

Update!
I painted the engine cover and a bit of the engine with a little wash:
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/wheels_001.jpg
I also painted the grille. I think it looks mean with the black Audi logo. Or do I have to paint it?
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/wheels_002.jpg
I primered the whole body but I thouht a little spoiler on the back would be nice.
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/wheels_003.jpg
The back is really sexy I think.
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/wheels_004.jpg
I also masked the hearts of the wheels but the black paint was coming with the maskingtape when I removed it. So I stripped of the paint and painted them chrome. I will paint the hearts after a long time drying. This chrome paint is really nice but it have to dry for a long time.
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/wheels_005.jpg
Dryfit time!
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/wheels_006.jpg
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/wheels_007.jpg
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/wheels_008.jpg
This are ''old'' pics because the body is already painted in black. This wil be the real colour. I have to let it dry and than I wil sand it and polish.
For the mirrors I thought it would be nice to use old chrome mirrors from an american car. Or I will scratch some F1 look mirrors.

I also painted a bit of the interior for the Audi.
Broken white and black are the maincolours.

http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_002%7E0.jpg
also finished the chassis for 90%
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_003%7E0.jpg
The body was painted black. I have to polish this really good because I'm not really pleased with the result.

Huge update!
First I completed the interior!
The seats are closed on the back. They were just ''open'' on the back. I also made little metall pins for the seats. I think it looks great :)
I also flocked the interior with black flocks. The steeringwheel is from a Nissan (don't know which one)

Put it on the chassisL
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/body_chroom_001.jpg
I also finished the wheels. The spokes were painted black and I added the ''Wald'' decals on it.
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/body_chroom_002.jpg
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/body_chroom_003.jpg
Back to the body!
I ordered some polish sanding paper. I had a little orange peel in the paint so I polished the whole body with this paper. After that I polished it with Tamiya Polishing Compound and I waxed it with carwax.
The paint is very shining now. There are some places you can see just a bit of the orange peel and very little scratches but I'm quite happy with the result.
But there is always something going wrong. Also @ me :D The A-style on the left side broke after pushing so hard while I was waxing it :crying:
I don't know what you guys think when you have to paint the windowtrims but I am always afraid of this work.
So I thought a bit of BMF is easier to do. And I think it looks great with the black paint and the chrome/black wheels :)
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/body_chroom_004.jpg
The camera I use :D
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/body_chroom_005.jpg
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/body_chroom_006.jpg
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/body_chroom_007.jpg
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/body_chroom_008.jpg
And a dry-fitt with the wheels:
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/body_chroom_009.jpg
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/body_chroom_010.jpg
http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/body_chroom_011.jpg
Now I have to look @ the interior because there are some fitting problems with the body and interior. I think the dashboard is not good placed.
I also have to search for a side mirror because the stock ones looks like Mickey Mouse ears :grinyes: I think an oldschool chrome mirror looks great on it.
Tell me what you think!

You should definitely paint the black areas on the windows themselves.
