02 Dodge Neon

hey guys

having a problem with my neon.

the car cigarette lighter doesnt work in my car. i want to fix it but dont know how to fix it since we lost the manual for the car.

check your fuses. chances are you have a blown fuse.

what fuse is the cigarette lighter one?

i don't remember, you'll have to find which one is blown.

usually same as the radio one , if that works could just be the socket itself , now you say your lighter doesnt work , you mean the lighter ? or the socket for power ? either way though hit your local parts store , most will be happy to help you

it is the power outlet

get a test light in there and see if you are getting power , if not hit the fuse box , if everything there is ok get into the back of the socket and poke around , if all else fails run a new power wire from the fuse box and bypass the old wire

we tried the fuses, put items into see if my power outlet works.

no luck

should i just take it to pepboys?
