Does Anyone Else Have This Problem?

Everytime I spray my clear top coat on my model it leaves behind little black pieces of fuzz! I stand in the same spot that stand in to spray them with paint and have only once had anything stick to the model. I don't know if it is the top coatthe is spraying out stuff of what. I use little 3 oz spray cans, no air brush. Has anyone else had this problem??

Iwas thinking of just buying another can, since i have to go buy another can of red anyway.

I'll put up photos a little later...

Any comments are appriciated.
Thanks
Nick

u can try cleaning the can this way:

=> wipe the nozzle with paint thinner ,then turn it upside down and spray... can loses pressure not paint, and clears nozzle

sometimes, if you take too long, fuzzy dust and stuff land on your model's body, and when u spray (esp. clear coat) it makes the dust more evident. Always good to wipe body with anti-static cloth before spraying anything :)

hope this helps

So, an anti-static cloth, like, I don't know the name, but the sheets you stick in the landry for less static... whatever...ok great! yeah, I always tip the can over and spray.

ok thanks, I'll have to try it today. I was at the point where I was going to give up and just leave it the way it is, but now I might sand it a little and try what you mentioned.

:) Thanks again:)

anti-static cloths like that Swiffer stuff, not the laundry antistatic sheets (those work differently I think)

you may not even need all this antistatic stuff.... just be careful and inspect the model body prior to spraying and heat the can a little bit so the paint flows better (check FAQ or Tamiya's site for heating spray cans)
