series vs. parallel

I am thinking about buying 2 12" audiobahn AW1200V's.
I want to put them in a sealed enclosure, but I am not sure how to wire them since I have never done this before.
Should I wire them in series or parallel?

Dont buy them. Save your money and buy something else. Anything else, really.

dont buy audiobahn...seriously dont....but it all depends on the configuration of the woofers... dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm. wiring dual 4 ohm in parallel with one woofer will make an amp "see" a 2 ohm load. if you have two woofers and you wire them both in parallel the amp will see 1 ohm.
if your woofer is dual 2 ohm voice coil, then wiring one sub in parallel wil create a 1 ohm load. nad having two will make a .5 ohm load....most amps are not stable at this configuration....so it all depends on what you want
1 DVC 4 ohm woofer parallel= 2 ohms
1 DVC 2ohm woofer parallel= 1 ohm
2- DVC 4ohm woofers- parallel=1 ohm
2- DVC 2 ohm woffers-parallel=.5 ohms
1 DVC 4ohm woofer- series= 8 ohm
1 DVC 2 ohm woofer- seires= 4 ohms
2-DVC 4 ohm woofers series= 4 ohms
2 DVC 2 ohm woofers seires= 2 ohm
got it?

2-DVC 4 ohm woofers series= 4 ohms
2 DVC 2 ohm woofers seires= 2 ohm
That's series/parallel
2 dvc 4ohm woofers in series/series would be 16 ohm, and 2 dvc 2ohm woofers would be 8 ohm

my bad....i never wire my ohm loads that high anyway...

so is there a way i can wire 2 dvc 4-ohm subs in 4 ohms to a 2-channel amp?

Dude, give up on Audiobahn. Seriously. Its garbage.

what do you suggest for an amp and 2 12"? I would like to spend no more than $400.

I'm not an SPL guy ... but seems like I have seen lots of subs on here for like $100 ea or so.

Yeah most people don't, I just figured I would throw it out there
There are a couple of subs with quad 1ohm coils, that's about the only situation where someone might wire in series/series that I can think of.

so is there a way i can wire 2 dvc 4-ohm subs in 4 ohms to a 2-channel amp?
Series/parallel (which means both series and parallel...the 2 coils on each sub are wired in series, and then the 2 subs are wired in parallel) would bring 2 dual 4ohm subs to a single 4ohm load which would work well on a bridged 2ch amp

i found a site that have alipne type r's for only 110. and the amp is 200 on the site too.
and that sit eis techronics.com
