tranny Q's

Someone's selling me a LSD Y1 tranny for $400, works fine, no grinds. Only catch, small crack on one side of the housing. Is it difficult to swap internals to another tranny? I have a Y1 no LSD right now but I dont want to strip it and transfer the case. Thinking of getting another case and transfer LSD internals. Any input?

Well if you don't have the experiance i wouldn't bother touching it. Well you can transfer the LSD to your tranny. It'd be less work. Is there anything wrong with your current tranny? If not then just take the LSD and put it in your current and sell the other tranny.:)

Thanks...nothing wrong with mine except it has no LSD...I will not do the work, most probably send it to a tranny shop.
