How much should I pay for curbed HX wheels?

This girl that I know has a 97 or 98 Civic HX and I keep telling her I want the wheels. She is planning on selling the car in a year or so when she graduates college. She got the car used and the wheels are curbed pretty bad. I believe it's mostly 2 on the drivers side, but all 4 have some kind of curbing on them so she said. I told her that I would give her $150 and my wheels / hubcaps off my LX. She said $200 and then we agreed at $175 and my wheels.

My brother was saying I should just give her $50 and my wheels if they are curbed pretty bad. I always see them in the dark so it's more like I am feeling the curbed areas just on the one wheel. I will be going over there Wednesday during the day so she can take a look at my wheels / hubcaps and I can get a good look at the HX.

How hard is it to get the rough curbed marks out of wheels? If I get them I am most likely going to paint them black or gunmetal. Also, what is the weight on these 14 inchers?

SHe's not even sure how much tread is left on her tires. I am thinking not too much since I don't believe her tires have been changed and I know she has over 50k on the odometer. My wheels / tires have about 40k on them.

What would you do?

I paid $82 for VX rims in excel condition with no curbing, the tires were shit though.

VX rims are 13", HX are 14", they look pretty much the same but slightly different.

50 bucks for curbed hx rims. why do you want them if they're curbed?
