I'm In Chrysler Hell!!!

I have a 95 chrysler cirrus and seems to live at the mechanic's shop more than it does with me. We have spent quite a bit of money fixing it. As I speak my husband is driving home from out of town and said the car is burning gas too fast and making a loud noise. I'm afraid because our son is in the car with him. Can someone please tell me what could be wrong?:frown:

Sounds lke the engine is shot. I just sold my '97 Cirrus while it was repaired and working. According to my mechanic, "Most people don't repair these cars when facing $$$ repairs, they throw them away..."
I'm going back to a Honda.
