Differences in 2000 3.3l, VIN R vs G

Can someone explain the differences between the VIN R and VIN G 3.3l V-6 in a 2000 Caravan? Looking at replacing an engine VIN R and wondering if I have to find a R motor or if a G motor will work. Thanks.
