power sunroof

1997 Blazer LT 4X4 4.3L
Bought this blazer at a good price and the power sunroof does not operate. I removed the headliner and the entire sunroof assembly and have it in my garage. What a job. The motor operates to move the sunroof but the roof never moves. There are 2 each black cables that turn but are not attached to anything, so I figure this is why it wont move. Would not have removed it but it was stuck in a position that it leaks bad. What do these cable hook to, how expensive is it to fix? Thanks for any help.

What type of sunroof is it. Is it from the factory or after market?
