1989 Toyota Pick-up NEED HELP

My 89 toyota standard pick-up truck has recently had a lot of problems. Just replaced the radiator, gave it a full tune up, new wires, spark plugs, distributor cap, new brakes, shocks..etc..

Here is the problem. When it was given to me a year ago it made this clicking noise in all gears but 4th and reverse when I hit the gas. The owner before me didn't know what it was and it didn't seem to be a big problem, just a little anyoning. It was running fine up untill last week. While driving it the clicking noise got worse. It continued but was joined buy a second clicking noise that sounded like I had but a playing card inside the gears. It now has a constant little clicking noise accompanied by the louder harder clicking which happens every second and half it seems like. Well, today while I was coming back from store, the louder harder clicking go even worse and began jarring the truck when it would happen. I put the petal to the floor and it sounded like the noise was coming from under the center of the truck.

I am not sure if it's the transmission because it is switching gears fine, no pulling at all, and no slipping of the gears. I am really have no idea what this could be. I don't have the money to take it to get checked out. Was wondering if anyone could offer some advice about this problem, and if this is a common thing.

Thanks!!!!!
-Jim

Try greasing all the fittings in the drive shaft with moly grease. Front and rear.
