I am for all intents and purposes a single woman in need of direction. Drove my car home for lunch yesterday, got in it to go back and nothing but a little clicking, the chime making some noise and the gauges were bouncing around. Does anyone have any idea if I should begin with the battery????? I just had new tires and a front end alignment last weekend....any connection?:banghead:

Thank you to anyone with suggestions!

Sounds like a battery.

Check connections. See if it will jump start.

Thank you, Mr. Luos. I just returned from having the battery tested and it tested fine. I did forget to mention that I was unable to jump start. I just simply would not work. Since my return, I have cleaned the connections and want to make sure they are completely dry before trying to reconnect. Remember, I am a true novice, but learning quickly!

if it sitll doesnt work, you might have to get a new starter.. its good news that you hear clicking tho, cuz that means the starter IS getting some sort of power..

Glad to hear you have it working!!

Did you use that battery terminal cleaner stuff?? Basicly baking soda in a liquid form. Works great.
