have had my 03 tb ext for about 11 months now and still am crazy about it... I haqve this high pitched whistle or squeal sound that I asked about on this forum months ago and its louder and more annoying now!.
When I took it to local dealership to have them look at it they said a pin(? was touching the rotor (not causing any damage to the rotor thankfully) anwas making the squeal sound when ever I was, say, coasting through a drive though / fast food line, looking for a parking space, etc or doing any sort of low speed driving like leaving a stop light (anything under around 30 mph or so)... when I put the slightest pressure on the brakes it stops so brake caliper movement seems to move the pin or whatever thats touching the rotor.
The dealership said they 'bent' the pin a bit, but that it would probably come back. Is anyone familar with what 'pin' they are talking about and is it easy to do so I can do it myself so I dont have to go back to the dealership? Is the only way to resolve this permantly to get all new front brakes (and how much does something like that cost)?
Another thing is I'm noticing some redish leakage underneath where the transfer case is on my driveway... it, at first, looked like some sort of dust so I tried spraying it off with hose, but it didnt budge and then appeared to be some sort of oily liquid that was in the driveway... my thinking is that it has to be transmission fluid... What could be causing this and what should I do?
It doesnt appear to be a LOT but from the truck being parked in the same spot over time its visible. There is also brief clicking clanging sounds when I put the truck in reverse to go out of the driveway -- doesnt persist, but is still noticeable when the windows are down. My first SUV so Im not sure if this is normal or something to be worried about.
I got an extended warranty when I got the vehicle - but think Im screwed -- I cant find any of the oil change receipts and as I understand it, I'll need to show those to prove I've gotten the oil changed on schedule to keep the warranty in good standing... I wish I knew someone who could generate some receipts saying I changed it... all that money for the warranty and now Im screwed - dang.

I'd get under it with a light and search for the leak. Leaks are not good, especially on a 4x4 with all the different lubes required. For the noise, I'd get the wheels off the ground and roll each one to help pinpoint the source. I'd get to a good shop, independant or dealer if you are not comfortable.
