Second or third gear?

hello
always my transmision problems.
and I decided to bring back the car from the country to Paris 400 kms.
and was not sure to arrive safe. Now I have to repair it .
When i was on the road at about 60 mph the rpm was around 3500/3800.
Do you think the transmission was on 2 or 3 thd gear?
The transmission refuse to go on 4 th could it be the solenoid ?, the code error is 41 (crankshaft sensor)!!!! does this sensor has an interaction with the transmission.

Welcome to AF. Most likely you are in 2cnd at that rpm, maybe 3rd. You will need a full trans scan to determine what is bad in the trans, no other way to do this.
