shifting a automatic @ raceday

When racing an automatic should one be on drive or on first gear? and if so should the overdrive be off? and but not least, at what rpm?:silly2:

i always put in in 1st and leave the o/d off.....and remember~!....turn off the traction control.......if it`s dry sunny day, floor it so u could get the rpms up faster...it wont skid for long....maybe 1~3 seconds.....don`t worry u`ll still have plenty of grip.......and always shift to a point when just getting to the next gear that the fuel almost cuts off........^^
