Well what's been going on has been happening for a little while now. Sometimes whenever I'm just crusing along and decide to step on it or even when I'm just accelerating something seems to hold back my car and I have no idea what it is. I can hear the turbo start to spool up then when I expect it to throw me back in the seat a litte (t-25) it dosent. It actually throws me foward a little, but that just may be because I was ready for the turbo hit. I can see the needle on the spedo go up but it feels like the car stays the same speed. This happens somewhat often like once every 2-3 days so I dont know if this could become major.

I had this happen to my Talon on a rare occassion. I never was able to figure out what it was though. I assumed the clutch was slipping some or something to that effect. The stock clutches suck bad on these.

that could be it because my clutch pedal it quite soft but am still open to other possibilties

The clutch usually smells pretty bad when it slips especially that badly. It's a fairly distinct burning smell so you should notice it (even if your windows were up)Do you rpms go up but the speedo doesn't? If so then it's definetely your clutch. If you have the stock clutch i wouild replace that in the near future...

pretend everything is normal, except the car isn't pulling... The RPM's Speedometor, the turbo spools, you hear the bov. Everything works properly except the car has zero pull to it... I know what burning clutch smells like and I could never smell it. It would happen whenever I was driving the car normal. Not after beating on it or anything. It was quite a strange problem but I never had it again after my new clutch was put in. Hence the reason I thought it was the clutch slipping due to old age. :2cents:

ok then it probably isnt the cluth now that you mension it. It seems almost like back pressure because whenever it happens i just lift off the throttle and that normally seems stop the problem and my bov makes the sound it makes whenever it's at full boost(which i dont think it would be at) and the speedo says I'am accelerating but it dosent feel like I am

^"zero pull" are the best words to describe it

Has it gotten progressively worse? Generally when clutches go bad they get worse and worse.

On the two burned clutches i've experienced (my brother's 2g, and his 93 240sx) both got a lot worse after each time it slipped, and both smelled horrible.

I've never smelled anything yet and I almost always drive with my windows down and havent had any major slipping yet either

I say get a new clutch cause it still could be the problem (crow said his never smelled) plus you have awd and you need to know the feeling of dumping the clutch at 5k rpms!!

I am thinking cluth too. I dont think that it always smells when its burning. I did a hard launch (5500 dump, not even a quick let off, basically had the clutch floored and moved my foot over and let the pedal come up by itself). After the pull (1-3) I had to stop for a stop sign. It smelled uber bad then, the 6-7 blocks home, and it was still smoking when we were looking to see what was burning. I dont think I should suggest this, but to see if it is your clutch, you could do what I did. In doing this you could also just fuck something up that isnt. Anyway, my vote is for the clutch.

I had this same exact problem and it would also only happen when I was just daily driving it not beating it. The RPMS would tach up but the car would not go anywhere. Also when I would let off the gas then hit it again it would respond right away. I have not had this problem to my knowledge since my clutch was replaced. I did not smell any burnt clutch either when this happened, and believe me I know what burnt clutch smells like.
