Ford Taurus alignment or tire problem?

Hello! My front right tire has a slow leak. Today I noticed that it was low so I went to a service station to get air. As I backed up to the air pump I noticed the car seemed to feel like something was rubbing on the bottom.

I put air in the tire and each time I turned the wheel the car seemed to slide to the right and make the rubbing sound.

I live on a hill. when I went up the hill and positioned the car diagonally so i could back in a parking space it would not move. I put it in drive and reverse but it still would not move. Finally I put it in reverse and gave it a lot of gas and it slowly backed into position.

My son in law came and drove it and he said it did okay except when turning to come up the hill it seemed to slide to the right.

Could it be the tire is rubbing against the car? My son in law used a guage and said it had 30 lbs of air in it. Could it be out of line? Or is it the transmission? can a bad tire cause the car to not move correctly? Thanks.:frown:

Have the front end checked immediately for loose suspension or steering components. You may have a ball joint or tie rod end that is about to fall apart.

If all front end components are solid, then make sure you don't have the parking brake stuck on.
