:D

Well I will try to explain how it is done but Im sure there are others here that can be of more help than me but here goes...

Making hinges is simple but takes some pratice in making them right. You need 1) brass rod about 1/16 of an inch and 2) brass tube that will fit snug around the brass rod but not tight.
Cut out your doors, hoods, trunks whatever that your going to hinge. Use a scribing tool! Messure your space inside the area where your hinge is going to be. (this is where the brass rod will be placed) For doors about 3/4 to an inch tube is perfect. Next is to messure out about 3" of rod. Center rod in tube and bend in to a u shape (not the tube) the rod. bend on both sides to match each other. Now for the hard bit. take the end next to the tube and make a half circle in the brass rod by bending it over something round and hard! LOL ok do that on the other side too. You have your hinge. Take some more brass tube and cut about 1/4 inch for each side of your brass hinge. This will be glued into place later. Position your hinge where you want it and superglue that sucker in place making sure that the round bits in the rod go out past the edge of trunk, doors whatever and swing freely. Next take your door, trunk etc. and tape it closed with the hinge swung in the oppisite direction. Now take your small brass tubes that you cut earrlier and move your hinge into place next to your door, trunk, whatever, and slide your brass tubes on to the end of the rods making sure you leave some space at the end and subeglue them onto your part(! DO NOT GLUE THE ROD ONTO THE TUBE- GLUE ONLY THE TUBE TO THE PART!) There now your part swings freely open and closed. Cut around other parts to fit with your new hinge. This technique is not for the faint of heart, but a little pratice and you will be hinging just about everything!!!
