Water in back seat area, not from outside

Yikes, I have a 2003 525i wagon and I have water coming from the console area in between the seats and coming out of the rear airconditioner vent. Has anyone heard of this ? I am afraid of the cost of having the BMW service guys do exploratory surgery to figure this out. I was told by one guy in Seattle that there is an "evaporator" in between the seats that is apparently part of the Air conditioning system. Any ideas ? Please help, thanks.:screwy:
