Do you think if I drilled a hole through it, my air bags wouldn't work?

Drilling a hole through that would be a bad choice. Please find an alternate route for whatever it is you're trying to feed through there.

If he has already drilled a hole through it he should be very very happy that he did not get hit with an air bag.

I put aftermarket seat in my car and the bracket didn't have a place for the seatbelt clicky thing. I put harnesses in, but got tired of strapping myself in every time I got in the car. So I thought that I could drill a hole and bolt the clicker in. I didn't know that the srs was there. So I started to drill the hole, because I thought metal was there for some reason. I wasn't thinking. When I was done drilling I took the center console out, so I can put a nut and a bolt through the hole. When I took it off. I saw a ecu looking thing. As soon as I read the label, I ran to my computer and asked yall if it was what I thought it was and I did what I thought I did. And I was right, I drilled a 3/8" hole through my srs box. But I think it still works, because my light didn't come on and my airbag didn't deploy.

ways to post a pic:
upload photos to your AutomotiveForums.com account. click on Gallery link at top of page (just above google search), then upload photos to your album. bad thing is that the size of the photo is limited, and its a very small size (80kb). also, when you link it to a thread, it will have the "automotiveforums.com" written in the bottom of the photo.
another, better way. get a free photobucket.com, putfile.com, or other webhosting account. upload photos there. then simply link the photos to the thread. OR instead of linking, you can post the image in the thread by typing insert picture link.
or, if there is a picture on another webpage you want to put in the thread, simply follow the procedure above: url
