How do you check the timing? Detailed instructions would be appreciated.

I like how he got the crank pulley off. Seems like a good way to round off the crank bolt. I always just turn it past top dead center shove a piece of rope tied to the end of a wrench so it doesn't fall inthrough the spark plug hole, check that all four valves are closed, and the piston holds the crank in place with a piece of rope in the cylinder.

Well, obviously, you'd have to be very careful with the crank bolt, to make sure it was on there well, but I agree that's it's more than a little dangerous. I love my impact wrench.

I alwys wondered how strong does the impact wrench have to be to pull crank bolts off? Is the cheap one at Walmart strong enough? I would consider one if I knew a good PSI to buy.

I'm not sure. I'm in Tech school, so "my" impact is actually owned by the school and they're really expensive and nice.

ther is a cheap way, put a wrench on it and brace it on something and crank the motor but dont start it, it will break the bolt lose.

That is how they did it, seemed like a good way to round the bolt to me. If it worked for you without issue, then I must be wrong!
