Help with Auto Mirror 03 GP GT

:eek7: I have a 2003 Grand Prix GT, and the autodim mirror has the compass and temp display. The compass works fine, but where the temp should be it just says OC. Any ideas how to get the temp showing? i have tried holding the temp button, recalibrating the compass, just don't know what else to do.

Surprised there are no responses to this one. OC is Open Circuit for the temperature harness/sensor. Find the sensor behind the front grill. Usually in one of the radiator brackets just in front of the radiator. Unplug the sensor and use a paper clip to short the connector. If the mirror reads SC for Short Circuit, the harness is fine, replace the sensor. If still OC, you'll have to look for the damaged/open wire. Good luck.

what kind of mirror is it? Gentex or Donnelly?(Look on the back of the mirror) If its Donelly than its prolly just the mirror cuz they make crappy mirrors! If its Gentex then its prolly just the temp sensor by the grille! Then try to recalibrate it again!
