I'm planning to buy (maybe) the Revell Ferrari F430. I know it only has 73 pieces, but the engine looks decent. A short review from any of you who have built or started to build it would be nice. Any problems or glaring errors I need to watch out for/correct? Thanks.

Well, I haven't built it yet, but i'm staring at it right now. The moldlines are not too apparent, and a cool thing is that the headlight bezels are separate. It does have brake detail, but the grilles are not mesh, like the enzo's, which I have also. For some reason the wheels are chromed, instead of brushed aluminum. 4 stars, compared to the Enzo: 3 stars.

+1 for the search. Several of both the Revell and various Fujimi F430 kits have been built with both WIP and completed threads posted.
The main concern with the Revell kit is with the body shape. Some say it has certain inaccuracies. Also, the chrome wheels suck, but hey - it's Revell! ;)

If you search you will find many, many threads with more information on the Revell F430 and how it compares to the Fujimi kit that you'd ever want. It's probably the second most contested kit v kit debate here, after the Enzos' debate. A quick search will yield you a tremendous amount of information, more than you'll ever care to read.

I am currently building an F430 from Revell. The fit so far is excellent. Better than average Revell offering. Everything seems to be a posi-fit type of part fitting, meaning there are postive holes for protrusions for a true fit of the parts together. Tehre is no 2 ways of fittign the parts.
You will enjoy it.

ALthough I've read all the comparisons, I have both the Fujimi and Revell F430 coupes. A quick scan shows them to be close. But looking at photos of the real car, the Fujimi is thinner than the Revell and the Revell looks closer to the real car in that category. I'll need to do more of a comparison before I decide how to do my detailed F430 as either the Revell completely with corrections or the Fujimi body with the Revell Chassis.
BTW, some of the issues with both kits can be corrected if you can get a hold of the Maisto Diecast F430. The Maisto stock wheels are the best to date I've.
Right now, the F430 is a ways off as I still a Tamiya 360 Modena Spyder "tuner" on the table that I haven't had a chance to work on in almost two months.

Okay, you guys are right. At first I was kind of ticked off at a couple of you for being so brusque with the new guy (me), but then I figured out how to search (I had previously been erroneously using the Google/AF search at the top of the page), and found plenty of results. Actually, I didn't really have to search, just glance at the first page of the WIP and Gallery forums. I was just lazy, so it's my fault. And technically, I would've bought this model even if you had said it was the worst kit you'd seen since AMT's 1965 Pontiac GTO convertible  (which I am sadly plauged with). I'm still going to buy it (the F430, not the blasted GTO, which I already have one too many of, that is, one total). A moderator can delete this thread. Sorry for being annoying. I don't want to establish a bad reputation.

Don't sweat it, Alex. There is some nuance to this place, and we don't expect it to come to all members right away. Now, if you had posted three or four easily searchable queries and didn't listen, then you'd have a bad reputation :p Let us know when you get started and be sure to share your work!
