check engine light 99 f 250 diesel

Check engine light is on and code p1272 (cly 2 B high to low open) comes up when checking with a computer but I can not find this code in the trouble shooter. Does any one know what it is for and what causes the code? Also code p1316 but I think that comes on because of the first code. Also it will not clear from memory. Any ideas????? The truck runs and drives perfect.

Sounds to me like the electronic solenoid on top of injector #2 has gone bad or the wiring jumper or the valve cover gasket wiring connection problem. Remove the valve cover and inspect the plugs on both sides of the gasket and the jumper harness.

both codes are idm related. the trouble shooting tree on this is involved but if followed you will find the problem. ebay is a good souce of factory service manuals on cd.
