Just wondering if anyone has first hand knowledge of what size speakers fit in the doors and xtra cab in a 2000 tacoma. Just don't want to have to tear the doors apart and rear compartment just to figure out what I'm going to need. Blew a speaker in one of the doors, so need to get some new ones. Thanks in advance.

Its been a while since my 97 has had any speakers in it, but if I remember correctly they were either 6 or 6.5. Just go on down to an electronics store that has a stereo department. They usually can look it up for you.

i have a 2000 tacoma ext. cab and it has 6.5 inches on all 4 corners. dont need tear away to change the rear speakers just carefully pry the cover from the top with a flathead screwdriver. Front speakers a little more uncomfy. to change especially if you have manual windows like, if you do make sure you DONT lose the omega pin, it tends to fly out if your not using small tweezers to hold it. Ive installed amplifers, radio, speakers, subwoofer, foglights with there own factory look-a-like switch(if there was one) so if you have any questions, on interior, wiring, etc. just let me know.

I have an 00 taco ext cab as well. I put sony xplod 6.5 in all 4 corners. I asked circuit city what size and they told me like 8.5 long ones, I was told them they were wrong but they kept telling me that the 6.5 only fit the front. They were wrong.... Its 6.5 all the way around.

Thanks. I'll start looking for some 6.5's.
