What should I get?

Ok I've been looking around this forum and You guys sound like you know wat your talking about so I have a question. My cousin & best friend just got a stock 2002 ford focus bought for him & he loves to "race" people. I keep telling him he doesnt know what racing is, but neither do I. I am looking to buy a car but I want one that can smoke him. Bad. Just to shut him up. Our 2004 Chevy Tahoe can't, I tried. Its just too big. My dad has an 1988 Pontiac GTA with a brand new engine, it justs needs some column work. Hes going to sell it to (for $2,000) me if I want but I dont know if I can take doing errands in it. So in short, what should I get the trans am or a sedan/coupe (what one) that can smoke him.


BTW what are some stock sedan/coupes that will beat a focus :uhoh:

Do a Google search. Look for some side by side comparisons of that car and decide which is best for you. I would say next time put this in non-specific but this is something that can be easily looked up on the internet.

you do know that a focus is really fast .. i mean like high 16's fast.
but if you want a car that can smoke him...just walk out side and point to the next car that drives by. there you go.

but seriously most people will say foxbody stang, camaro, must sports cars.
alot of cars can just do so research.

Yes, there are plenty of cars that can "smoke him bad". I would say the GTA can take him easy.

Most cars are faster. Get a dodge Caravan, I think you should come out on top.

That Tahoe should beat it...

he prob doesnt know how to auto launch it and win.....thats prob y he thinks it cant win. the tahoe should own it. but even a civic si coupe can beat a 02 focus, i mean its not that hard. integra ls can as well. depends on how much money u want to spend. take the tahoe out one day, at a light when no one is in front of you, press the brake all the way down and floor the gas pedal. i wouldnt hold it for longer than 5 sec maybe. tach should read about 2k when you do this. keep flooring the gas and release the brake completly. try that and see if u like that outcome.
