another ?

well if you read my other post u know my water pump is leaking and its a 8it_h to replace,anyways,it started when my heater core was leaking from the firewall,so i just bypassed the heatercore. but,i cut out the two hoses wich are connected in the middle.and in the the connection there is a little spring valve thing,(dont know y ) and i judt replaced that setup with normal hoses ,and thats when my pump started going.

i was wondering if the two had any connection,?mabey i screwed up on the heatercore ?

Dont think the two would be what caused the water pump to go out, Unless that spring was rusted, and broke off pieces that went into the water pump. Water pumps dont last forever! neither does the heater core.

To get the most out of you cooling system you should keep the proper amount of coolant in the system. It'll keep it running cooler and keep rust down.

You should flush the cooling system every 2-3years, depending on how and where you are driving, and refilling with new coolant.
