I have a 2000 Durango sometimes it won't shift into 2nd unless I take my foot of the gas, "normal our quick acceleration" Trans shop said they could not find any thing wrong? Anybody have any insight on this?

do you know what trans you have? If not do you have the 5.2/5.9L or the
4.7L? The trans thats behinde the 5.2/5.9L have a problem with the inner seal on the direct drum. The grove that the seal sits in is cut to deep and over time the seal shirnks and can't seal properly.

I have the 5.2 runs great except for the shift problem.

I miss read your post. your having problems going from 1st to 2nd. 2nd is the band I have seen a few burn out the band which could cause a no shift under heavy throttle. I would check into the governor solenoid and transducer 2nd band adjustment and possible bad TPS.
