j-spec motor 500$

well im going down mainstreet tonight and a hatch pulls up next to me and says how he had some parts since he just did a b16a. He said he has a 1.6 sohc j-spec motor, trans, dc sport header, aem cam gear and aem pulley. he said he got it with 30, 000 and now it has 50,000. does anyone no what the engine code might be and what about the price $500. yes or no. Thanks

I'm guessin' it's a ZC motor, and $500 sounds like a really good deal if it is. But you should take a look at it, and take a look at the engine code before you even think about buying it. If you don't really know the guy, make sure to check for the paper work to make sure it's a legit engine.

..sounds like a sohc zc..basically a a6...so if you've got an si, dont even bother...definitely dont believe him about the mileage..I think that whole 'jdm engines only have 30k on em' is bs..... I guess its a decent price though w/ those few bolt-ons..
