96 Tracker Acceleration hesitation

Hi all, 96 Tracker 3 spd AT. If I'm in "park" and push the gas pedal down fast, there's a big bog-down hesitation before the engine revs up. Also havn't got very much power at low speeds, but good acceleration once higher speeds are reached. any experience with this? Ed

Do a compression test then post results.. might want to sea foam your car also.

sea foam is a type of engine cleaner it is really fun to do because you cause a huge smoke screen. :grinyes:
