How do I know what motor I have??

I have a motor that was supposed to be a 2.0 tracker motr(Suzuki). What i got was a motor with a distributor cap and other sensors that were not on a 2.0. Can someone describe what the difference is and what years the 1.6 fit? It says "16 valve" on the valve cover.Any CORRECT advise would be appreciated. I also have some numbers off of the timing belt cover. Thanks
