what could be wrong

ok, my engine is dumb... first of it has no power, when im driving, its now very slow, feels like something is holding it back... about hafe way through a gear it makes a vibrating/ raping noise, as my dad would call it. when i start it at first it knocks for like 5 seconds... when im driving and i let of the gas it decelerates pretty quick... its a d16y7 5spd. i just dont know... thanks:banghead:

Could be a lot of things, but sounds like a blocked catalytic converter.
It may be slugged up.
Also, what about your timing belt? could it have slipped and your
cam timing be off?
Have you done anything to it recently that may have changed something?
Also check your timing with a timing light.

i did check the timing... with cylinder #1 TDC everything was set up where they should be... and its like... one minute the car was running ok, and the next it was poor.. the horrible gas milage started a while ago, and it always burnt oil... idn...

If it were me and I ran out of ideas I would have the Honda
dealer put it on their analyzer, I know it's not cheap but
that's your best bet for a true answer, they know that car and
have all the service bulletins.
Once you know what it is you can decide if you want to fix it yourself.
