try washing your face with warm water repeatedly and using OTC medicated soaps (Neutragena, for example), going to sleep at a decent time (9-10pm) and waking up about 8-9pm. a good night's sleep helps a lot, really.
also, Proactive is a miracle. order some! lastly, coming from another indian, cut down on indian or equally oily foods such as fried chicken.
If you want a prescription for future breakouts, Differin works pretty well. Accutane is like the atomic bomb of all acne meds, but like the A-bomb, its got killer side effects. you won't need it, its only for the faces that are infested with acne.

When I was in 9th grade I had annoying acne, went to a dermatologist. He said it had nothing to do with food, what he did say was hormones, excess dirt/sweat, and any rubbing/pressure/etc. to the face. I did alot of sports so I sweated alot so I took to washing my face alot, but normal soaps will dry it out, also those 'cleaning pads' suck, because they are doing as much bad as good, and the alcohol doesn't help much either. Also try not to rest your face on your hands, sleep with the pillow to your face, etc. You get the idea.
Anyway, vinny already said both things that worked for me, Differin, and then later Proactive I still use on occasion. Both worked great for me.

I use some kind of face soap, doesn't work well. my sisters used proactive and they love it. I think i'm going to switch over to proactive since my acne is getting worse than i'd like.

That site has a lot of useful information. My face was getting fairly bad, after reading that site I followed the info and my face cleared up dramatically within a week or so.
One, leave your face alone. Unless the zits are on the urge of blowing up, do not touch them. I started using Neutrogena On-the-spot treatment and it seems to work pretty good. I got tired of going to the dermotologist, so I decided to try the OTC stuff.
Supposedly some people can become immune to benzoyl peroxide. I would just try new medicine if one seems to quit working. I'm almost 25 and still have to worry about it almost as much as I did in high school. Maybe moreso. Damn the fact that I'll look 20 years my age when I'm old:cool: My parents are almost 60 and everyone thinks their in their 40's.

Sure thing man.
There are some other sites out there I'm sure with as good as this info. But the way this site was written I found it the easiest to understand and read in terms of site friendliness.
