so after work today a friend of mine and i decide to race. he drives a 95ish beretta z26, i drive a 96 5.0 explorer.
after we find some good back roads, we like up and honk it down. i manage to hang with him through the launch, by 30 he has a car on me. we shut down at 100 with him 4 cars ahead.
next run i brake torque to 2k. this time my friend honks us down, but launches late cuz his first honk supposedly didn't count (it wasn't loud enuf). anyway, i had 2-3 cars on him the whole time.
third run i brake torque again, friend launches late again. we shut down at 40 though because a car was coming and we were racing on a two way road.
fourth run i brake torque again, this time to 1.5k. launch is even. by 35 he had a car, by 80 when we shut down he had 3.
im really suprised i hung with him this well. being 2000 lbs heavier, i expected to get smoked worse.
