95 civic headlight help

well i bought myself some new Xenon bulbs , well i " attempted " to take out the headlights but i ran into a problem and i stopped . I noticed i might have to take off the front spoiler (bumper) and im wondering if there is any ways around me not having to .

are u just trying to change the bulbs?
if yes, then you don't have to take off the bumper....
your owners manuel teaches you how to do that.

Well , my car did not come with an owners manual , thats why im running into some troubles replacing the light bulb .

you're trying to change the *bulbs* on a 95 civic?
pop the hood.
look @ the back of the light, there is a clip. pop off the clip ***REMEMBER HOW IT GOES BACK***
pull back the rubber gasket (tho that might be done before the clip, i dont remember anymore..........nor do i have a car atm.)
pull the old bulb out (make sure the lights have been off for a while....you dont want 1st degree burns)
oh - dont touch the glass. the oil from your fingers will create "hot spots" (the oil heats up hotter than the rest of the bulbs) and will cause them them to shatter. hold them by the metal, pop the new bulbs in place, put the clip back on, slide the rubber gasket back on, done.
takes ~20-30 mins. depending on how fast you wanna go.
you dont need to take off the bumper and all that nonsense to change the bulbs.

acutally there is no clip.. just twist the bulb to one side or the other from the back of the headlight housing... and you will feel it when its loose then pull it straight out... attact the new bulb... clean with alcohol and insert and twist into place.

yes there is. there is a clip that is approx 2-3 inches in length, which has a hinge on one side, and a latch at the other. like a bent paper clip. it holds the bulb securly in place, so it doesnt shake around when you hit a bump. ive changed the bulbs in my 5th gen hatch to know this by now :)
im positive about this, because the last time i did it, i put the drivers side on backwards, which made the bulb loose, and actually blew it. so when i changed them, i made sure to put it back on the correct way. perhaps your 91 accord is different? (or 94?)
and the alcohol...isnt necessary, just dont touch the glass.

he is correct, i have a 95 civic sedan. there is a metal clip that secures the bulb. only pull out the bulbs when the clip is loose.
