hi friends this one is a 911 turbo of 1995 , from Revell 1/24. I think it's the very same model that sells Italeri although with its own packaging. It has a very simplified engine, suspension details and chassis in general.
This thing hasn't been really nice to make. The interior belonged to the `80s Turbo, so was incorrect, and many things had to be changed. I got myself a catalogue of the 911 in which all the dealer and Porsche special options appeared. I made around 60 scratch pieces by myself to depict a car with the premium sound system and walnut wood accents. It got me months!
The paint was a bit painful also. It`s pearl white, but depending on the light look plain white , very light met.beige or even silver. 5 / 6 coats for getting the effect.
The kit , it's better to avoid it , frankly, If you are obsessed with correctness. The wheels are too small and there are some other gross details also , like the right hand window openning in which you can appreaciate the bestial thickness of the clear part of the windows.
Solution: Opt for the Road Going `95 GT2 from Tamiya (although neither in this the wheels are correct) or just stay with the Fujimi's "Enthusiast-Series" from Fujimi picking a late '80s version directly.
Regards everyone.

Fujimi makes a nice 18in Ruf rims, and it's a common addition for the street 911, so that's what I'm gonna do with my Italeri kit. I'm also thinking about scratchbuilding 17-18in factory rims, and use Fujimi or Aoshima's Michelins.

Well Hiro , as I see you're Japanese may be you can get directly the Tamiya´s wheel set fret of the `97 911 Carrera, this way you wouldn't have to scratchbuild nothing. They look pretty correct.
Are you gonna leave the interior as it is? I mean , `93 911 Turbo instead the real one, with other seats, other door panels and other steering wheel ? The work is hard but the result could be worthy , believe me. I made the Porsche´s custom version with burgundy leather-imitation seats and wood accents with the special door panels that came with the premium sound system.
Good luck with your Turbo !

Thanks P-MAn , but I think next time I´ll try to get myself a can for making fast the white pearl effect
the problem is that when I respry over the base Tamiya mica / metallic colour with the shiny clear spry , also from Tamiya , the paint get ruined. I don´t know why it`s uncompatible . Any trick to solve it?
For reddish cars, i used over it a coat of airbrushed enamel Humbrol clear vernish and then comes out fine.
Ah by the way , you Opel looks very cool. Well done. What´s your next project?
;)

I never use a clear coat on any of my models. Once i've sprayed i just leave for a week or two then just use rubbing compound followed by Tamiya wax.
Next project....i'm going though my boxes at present to see what to do.
