just following up to say that it's been over a week from the day i got the sulfer smell TSB taken care and there hasn't been one sign of that stinkin' smell. :D on top of that, I also noticed that I am now getting a hell of a lot better milage per gallon... could this be related to taking care of this sulfer smell??? :D

oh, that was the TSB for reprogramming the ECM. something with the wrong parameters while ideling. it totally stunk up the whole midwest when it was ideling....embarrassaing as hell as you know having a brand new car stinking up the place. :(

yah, if the instrument pannel buzzing noise inside can be fixed, I would consider this a very happy buy. it seems that the cables going to the guages are buzzing against the cluster. what is weird is that when the engine is warn, there's no noise. its that first 15min that sucks. :( on top of that, I have the aftermarket muffer that makes more vibration so it aint helping. hehehee

score card is about 85% for this car right now. it'll jump to 95% if I can get that noise fixed. 100% after I get a NOS kit. eeeheheheh. :D

what is weird is that when the engine is warn, there's no noise. its that first 15min that sucks. The reason it only does it when cold is most likely the engine rpm is a little higher until ECU sees temperature increase. That certain rpm will set up a sympathetic vibration in whatever is making the buzzing sound.

Take a note of the cold start idle rpm and, then later when hot, throttle it up to that rpm and the buzzing will likely return. My P10 has a buzz from the windscreen washer filler cap touching the fender at exactly the same times (cold idle of around 1200rpm or when passing thru 1200rpm.) Another place where buzzing can come from is the wheel well inner guards buzzing against the fender.

Thats funny,
my p-10's washer cap used to do that too. All I did was put a piece of tape against the side of the fender where it was touching. Fixed it right up.

yep very true. its about the same 1200 where my p11 vibrates when its cold too. wish i could fix that! I might put on a attractive clamp over the top of the cluster to put on a guage or my passport 7500 on there.
it seems like there are 2 areas of vibration. tip of the cluster and inside somewhere in the instrument panel.
