Just want to know how many members are from Aus, I've seen quite a few names on various threads.
Where do you buy your models and supplies, what paint do you use,
what price paid for kits.
I buy most of mine at a hobby shop or at Big W,150 kms away.
Have bought some from Hobby Co. in Syndey. Mail order.
$20-$40 au for most kits.
Mainly use Auto touch up spray cans or White Knight Enamel paints.

I'm Oz, Buy in Parramatta NSW at Sherriffs Minicars (www.sherriffsminicars.com.au) They have ALOT of models but not much on their site. I buy Revells/AMTs from there for $22-$40 and Tamiyas are always $44 and Fujimi is $50!? Spray is $9.50 a tin and humbrol paint tins are $1.50 I use Tamiya spray paint for the body and hand brush Humbrol tins on everything else.

For brush painting i use Tamiya Enamel paints. Pick most of
them up for $2.50. Bought in bulk some months ago when a
hobby shop was selling out. 50 % off all models and paints.
Picked up 4 models and about 20 pots of enamels and 4 spray cans , best deal all year.

I don't use Tamiya brush paints because last time i used them, they came out worse then humbrol tins and they never dried..even after a year!

Is that the shops near the old Daimaru?? Went to that shop during the winter holidays... great stock of kits... I got my Tamiya Jeep Cheroke from there for $24. It has a great collection of old kits also.
I m from Sydney.. got my kits from HLJ and my paint from a online shop in newcastle... http://www.frontlinehobbies.com/shop.php3. It's not the cheapest... but makes things so easy.
Any good shop online in Aust??

I went to hobbyco in Sydney today (Australias largets hobby shop or so they say) and I still cant get over the uselessness of this place. The shop is now 40% bigger but they still cant keep a constant stock of Tamiya paints. Got lots of dolls now. Just want you want in a hobby store. I wanted clear orange and semi gloss black acrylics and neither were is stock. They have been out of no 11 blade for a week or more. The staff are mostly teenagers with no interest in what they sell. One or two of the girls there are cute though.
I once sent an email to enquire if a particular kit was in stock. It was listed as being in stock on the web site but I wanted to check before getting the train into the city. I got a reply 8 days later saying it was out of stock. I could have had the thing delivered from Japan in that time.
There logo of "for people who take there fun seriously" is a joke.
Toms hobby discounts in West Ryde is great. They have a good range and are usually 5 or 10 dollars cheaper for a tamiya car kit. The best thing is they have the tamiya acrylics in the larger bottles.
Also Serifs mini cars a Parammatta is pretty good.

Well, because I live in South Australia, I can't help you on most of these questions. But if any of you is planning on heading down my way, be sure to drop by.
Lowriders: Do you ever see any Mazda RX-5 Cosmo kits at Sherriffs mini cars? Somebody told me that they have them.
