Loud Humming from the Front

Hey All,
I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight into this problem:
When accelerating, an extremely loud "humming" emenates from the front of my car. Now, I know that my alignment is off, and that my wheels aren't balanced properly (as the wheel shakes when driving), but could the noise be caused by anything other than these factors?
Any help that you could give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Everyone,
Roy

Sounds like a wheel bearing may have went bad in the front. Does it make the noise while coasting also? If so, then you will have to listen to which side bearing is bad.

Thanks Johnny,
I was actually wondering about the wheel bearing(s) myself. My past two cars had these same symptoms(?), and both needed their wheel bearings replaced on the rear end. This one's just on the front. Thanks for your help. I'm gonna take it in later this week.
