Thanks Dwayne for posting this thread & Robi for your kind words!
I have made it my goal to try and share every single tip & technique I know with my fellow modelers here on AF. Yesterday winning the show was the biggest award I have ever received and I was thrilled!
I must say with over 120 views and only 1 comment makes me wonder if this is in fact a place I want to remain!
Regards

Wow. Way to go Rob. I had no doubt that you would win with the FW24 after seeing what was going into it in the progress thread. Did I miss the completed posts for the 312 and FW24? Was really looking forward to seeing them finished up. Looks like another reason for me to visit Oz. So many talented modelers on this board and all from the Land Downunder.
I think the F1 stuff is more welcomed on that other board and that is why there are so few replies, please don't leave, your FW24 has inspired me to keep going with mine.
Mike.

Hey Rob,
Sounds like your inspirational work impressed them at the Expo as much as you impress us here.
Keep up the great builds, I'm looking forward to them.

Don't be discouraged by the lack of comments Rob, keep in mind the view counter also counts non-member's views.
Excellent work on cleaning up at the show mate!

Congatulations Rob. Very well deserved considering the amount of labour and love you put into the build on the Ferrari. Same goes for the others as well.

Rob,
Congratulations on your wins! Totally deserved as your work is just mind-blowing.
Have I missed your 250 somehow?!?!? I remember it snekaing into a photo of something else and I have been patiently waiting for it to appear in its own thread :banghead: Please put me out of my misery, where can I find it?
Please don't go and don't worry about the post counts. Remember that it is also holiday time and many people are still away on vacation (for example, I'm posting this from England and I am only managing to check in via PC every few days).

Can't say I'm surprised by your winnings. Your builds are tremendous, and Barry Sheene's bike you did is one of my favorite models of any sort, ever. It's a masterpiece, as are all your builds. It'd be great if you continued to share with us.

Great work Rob. Your builds ooze quality so it doesn't come as a surprise to me. I bet they look even better in person.
What happened to the plane that you stuffed up last year? I was expecting you to enter it again this year and win that catagory also.
Also, the sooner you post the finished pics of the FW24, the better. I can't wait.

Click on Robrex's name where he has posted at the start of this thread and you will be able to click on and see all his threads for these fantastic models.
Congratulations Rob. Fantastic to hear. Dont despair over the lack of comments. I always watch your progress threads and rarely comment because I would only be repeating what everyone else has already said - Stunning!! Speechless would be more accurate for me.
Sorry I didn't make it up to the show. I put my entries in and then had to work - AGAIN. Sick of it! This is the first chance I have had to get on line since last Thursday.
I'm getting less and less time these days and am seriously thinking of selling everything up in frustration. If I do I will drop you a line with a list of the P/Etch sets I have for the bikes that I have. I know you will do them justice.
Cheers
Tony

Robrex,
I'd love to see photos of the 250 GT SWB California Spider. Could you please post them?
Thanks,

Hi Rob,
We I, like rest of the people here are in awe of your work. Being Secretary of this years QMHE meant I was fortunate enough to get an up close look at all you models and they are outstanding.
It was no surprise to me that you won the classes you entered and to recieve "model of the show" for 312T was just further recognition of you talent. Good luck with your ventures to the dark side, I know you will give those gent's from AMMS a real wake up.
By the way, when we were cleaning up Sunday night, your reference material for the Ferrari 250 GT was still there.
Contact me off board and I will arrange to get them back to you.
Cheers
Craig

Hi there Rob,
I too was at the QMHE on the weekend. I've been looking here for quite some time now and felt I had to 'sign' up to congratulate you on your efforts.
I must admit to missing the 250 but I spent plenty of time looking over the FW and the 312.
Well done.

Congratulations Rob,
I love your work done on the 312T as well as the Barry Sheene's bike. The step by step assembling as well as the tips really helped a lot. Congratulations again :)

Congratulations from me as well. I know what itīs like to loose against you in contests (always finished - but well deserved - behind you in the LeMans-Comp and 80s-Comp).
I know, what it feels like, when you post your work and nobody responds to your effort. Donīt take it as disinterest, even though it can feel like that!
