What do you guys think of these wheels?

They should fit the TT. They come in 17" x 8" with a 25-48mm offset. They have a 5x114.3 bolt pattern and they only weigh 17 pounds.

I like them but you could go a bit wider.

I like how they look. I'm just a sucker for 5 spoke black anodized wheels.

I like them enough to have been wanting a set in black for a year now.

No wide enough.

And, I like the chrome 17s from the spyder - which were also on my 94

Really, the stock wheels are 8" wide.

I believe they were $127 per wheel for the 17" x 8". You can find them at http://www.edgeracing.com/.

Yeah, but once you make the jump to 255s the price skyrockets per tire. Hmm, I'll have to look into that.

my advice. if you like them, get 'em. personally, i think the 3000GT VR4 or N/A look better with 18" or 19" rims. 17's i think look a little too small for the wheelwell. i like the style of the rims though, the 5-spoke shows off the caliper nicely.

just my opinion though man, do what you think you would like, if you don't you'll just regret it.

Actually, you're right. I've seen a silver set on a 3S and they were 18" x 8.5" and they looked great. They filled the wheel well up nice. I think that is what I'm going to go with. My reasoning for wanting to go with 17" wheels was because they are lighter and less prone to bending. However the 18" wheels are only 21 pounds which isn't that bad for the size.

I have been thinking alot about which size to get as well, and I have been leaning towards the 17x9s as well. I think with a drop they wont look any worse than the stock wheel well gap w/ 18s...and I'm ok with that. Just my .02, but other htan looks, I think the 17s trump the 18s in every category.

Personally, I'd rather have the 18's. But to each his own. Either way, they're some damn nice rims.

ORLY? [too lazy to find the url for one of Morphius's owls]

everything else aside (price, durability, etc etc), you ilke the look of 17s over 18s? interesting.

i'm leaning towards 17s myself. just because as the low profile (sidewall/aspect ratio) increases, the price of the tire increases, as does its availability. but also, generally 17s will have a taller sidewall, and so with the kind of driving i do, a taller sidewall providing better durability and ridigity in turning is good for me :p

Nope other way around. I like the looks of the 18s, but the 17s for everyting else. Lighter, cheaper, cheaper tires, less rotational mass, better in snow and rain, I have just always felt 17 was teh ideal size wheel all around...but with stock wheel gap, they would look like a joke.

any rim looks better when the car is lowered. i think that's a must if you're looking at it asthetically. if you're going to go with 17's it just doesn't look right on this car....it looks better with it lowered. 18's will look great w/ the car not lowered and even better w/ it lowered.

as far as handling, i've had both 17's and 18's on the same car w/o any suspension changes and the 18's handle better. less side wall means less tire roll, and in-turn better grip. then again, lower center of gravity also means better handling.

it's really a toss up, and in the end should just be your personal fav. when it comes to looks...and if you're on a budget go with the 17's. you'll save some money....it won't be a ton, but it's something.

also, VR4's (the most well known of 3000gt's) are known for the nice 18" stock rims, so the whole 18" rim thing is commonly assoiated with them when you're trying to figure out if it's just an SL or the BA VR4. something i would consider if i was in your shoes.

i'm not so sure about that. i'll have to do some research and get back to you. i'm 75% sure its the other way around, but, again, i'll have to check.

He is correct. Less sidewall means less sidewall flex. The car will corner better with the side effect of less sidewall making a harsher ride.

17's plus some beefy tires look bad ass, 18-19's are more bling.

I vote for 17x9 and you would want a 35mm offset. I had these wheels in hyperblack. All the colors are paint, not anodized.

meh I say 18's this car is way to big to have little 17s on it, even if it was low, it would look like a jumbo jet. People think my car has 17's on it, it just makes the car look a little smaller...............
