from the pictures i can tell that it has digital climte control (which you stated), ECS, and ABS. i don't think those features came on the base model(s) ES. those options came on the RT/SL and TT/VR4 trims.
but i could be wrong. i know in a few years, the Stealth was made in 4 or 5 trims, which included base, ES, RT, RT luxury, TT. so it would be logical to think that some of the more luxury options were available on a car with only cloth interior.

Sorry I don't know too much about the Stealths but gathering what I could find on google I'm guessing the R/T is the turbo model, now looking at that shocking peace in the link, that car obviously has no turbo's and is an NA hance why it is anything but an R/T. I'm just thinking that they changed all of the NA gear over to the R/T body and then transfered all of the RT gear over to the NA body which I'm guessing was in Better condition.......... Just a Thought......

I can not imagine anyone doing a ES to a R/t n/a (specs) conversion. Putting in leather seats, climate control, body work, ecs, etc.

There are non turbo RT's. The ES is essentially a DOHC in a base SOHC body. Something definitely isnt right. I wouldnt pay a dime till everything is inspected and its found to be legit

I know of a guy who transfered all of his Mitsubishi GTO TT Engine and trans into a 97face lift NA body and put all of the 97 NA Engine etc into the old 1992 TT body............... Why is this not possible....................

You forget that North America didnt have any AWD NA's.

see i am about 3 thousand miles away from the car and its already getting the 60 k tune up. It is very sketchy though the mechanic says its a good car and only needs a few things, so i am just very confused like i said could something bad happen here.

You guys said nothing about this. however everything else you guys said, i checked out and looked ok. i even had a mechanic say it would only need a paint job and a tune up. every thing looks great except for the fact that i dont know what kind of car i currently own.

ummm. NO. i said a LOT of things about it several times http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=607403.
a paint job and a tune up? a decent paint job goes for around 1,000. a tune up on these cars can mean a timing belt service, which is pretty complicated for most people and mechanics, and will probably run you anywhere from 500-1000. so if you're aware of that and the cost, then things aren't so bad.
don't say we didn't tell you so. it appears you were "waiting for this day for so long and its finnaly here [and you] hope [you] have a reliable [car]." And you also said "well i bought it so i hope it it is a great car."
speak those words again to yourself, then tell us how it sounds. does it sound informed? knowledgable? reassuring? comforting?
hey, i'm not trying to rag on you or rub it in, i'm just trying to help you be realistic. you can't trust what just any joe mechanic says (unless you know the guy and have taken ur car to him before). and if something is weird, seemingly contradictory, and everyone is yelling "beware", then it only benefits you to listen and take heed. we're just trying to educate you on these cars and tell you to have money for repairs and regular maintenance.

Where did you run the vin? Because I know carfax doesnt always get the tims correct. I looked at many SL's that showed up as bases on there.

I'd want to see a carfax adn proof of the 60K tuneup. The car looks like it was waxed less than once a year, which really isn't a great sign in terms of the owners care for maintainence. For $750 if it is mechanically sound, has teh 60k done, and has a clean title, sure why not, you can dump money into fixing it up. But I wouldn't go much higher, because you are looking at a few grand for paint, maybe a grand for repairs if you don't do them yourself, and another grand to 2 grand for the tuneup if you don't do it yourself (if it's needed). Instantly, that could be another 4-6k in costs...
Looks like I said just about everything. Just what Linebckr said, we aren't trying to be mean. But you asked us, we answered, and then you basically just bought it on a whim without investigating a single thing we said. For all you know now, this car could have been stolen, chop shopped, and sold and pieced back together, and sold to you for $750. I'm not saying that's the case, but you have no idea, because you didn't look thoroughly enough into the car like we suggested.

The carfax was clean and yes i do personally know the mechanic down in sarasota florida that checked it out and said it would be a good deal if i could get it under 2 grand and i bought it for 1900 so as far as the car goes IT IS A GOOD CAR!! all i was asking is why does carfax say its an ES when the car tells me its an R/T. And maybe as somebody else posted they just got the model wrong on carfax. who knows

for that year model, trim, and mileage, its worth $2000 in very good condition. but the condition is nowhere near good.
but since you know the mechanic, that's a good thing. i just hope you're prepared to pay about twice what you paid for the car in maintenance and repairs.

the r/t model had 2 levels, twin turbo, and na dohc, if you have a 94, it's a r/t luxery, a very rare car, only made that year, it had all options available to it as the twin turbo, only they were na, i'd say hang on to it, there are a few known incident that dodge and mitsubishi both screwed up the vin numbers on some cars, there is a good site tho for 2nd gen stealths, down to the breakdown of how many were made like yours, google search "dodge stealth production numbers", one of the sites will give all the numbers, does anyone know if there's a site like that for the 1st gen stealths, i have a 92 tt, and wanna know how rare it is, it's fully loaded, please much appreciated

Not all 94 R/Ts are the luxury version. Aside from what most people think that sell their cars on autotrader who say its a luxury when its not. About 3000 R/T NA versions were made in 94' and 681 of those were the luxury models.
But anyways, 1900 for the car?? :nono:
